Yes, yes and yes. Okay, so it's not a new addition to Harry Potter, but it's as close as we've got. So, in case you didn't know, J.K. Rowling is set to write the screenplay for the new film (which is based in the Wizarding World) 'Fantastic Beasts and where to find them' which is based on the book written by J.K. Rowling as Newt Scamander (from the World of Harry Potter) who you may recognise as being the grandfather of Rolf Scamander, who married the eccentric character Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter books.
So, while it may not be an anticipated sequel or prequel to the beloved magical series, it does give every screaming and eager fan the chance to step back into the Wizarding World once more (yay!). Rowling stated that "The laws and customs of the hidden magical society will be familiar to anyone who has read the Harry Potter books or seen the films, but Newt’s story will start in New York, seventy years before Harry’s gets underway." So, who's excited for the new film? Do you think it will be as brilliant as the rest of the films based around Rowling's visions? So, do you think if this goes well there will any other books from the Wizarding Universe that will be converted into films as well?
