Lupita Nyong'o Covers The February 2014 Issue "New Yorker"

12 Years A Slave star and Oscar nominee Lupita Nyong’o covers the February issue of New York Magazine.

The ‘12 Years A Slave’ actress said she’s already gotten to meet several of her favorite celebrities — including Meryl Streep, Oprah Winfrey and Leonardo DiCaprio.

I had a very good cry with my best friend, and then we had a dance party, just me and him," she told The New York Magazine on her Oscar nomination.

Nyong’o described her first paparazzi encounter, saying she didn’t know who they were waiting for.

"I don't know who they were waiting for, but they definitely chased me down, which is a startling, disturbing experience," she said. "I did not expect it. I went into flight mode.

"I was blissfully ignorant of the magnitude of the project I was in or what it was going to mean for the world," she said, about the acclaim for the Steve McQueen historical drama.
