A model romance! Victoria's Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel 'engaged' to boyfriend of ten years Hermann Nicoli
Victoria's Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel is reportedly engaged to her boyfriend of ten years, Hermann Nicoli. According to E Online, Brazilian Hermann, who began dating Candice, 26, after the pair met in Paris when she was just 17, quietly popped the question to his longtime love earlier this month. Sources reportedly told the online publication that Candice 'couldn't be happier', although the blonde bombshell has yet to share the news on any of her social media accounts.
The proposal is thought to have taken place quite recently; just last week Candice stepped out in New York City without an engagement ring.
Both South African Candice and Hermann are known to be fairly private when it comes to their relationship, although in the past, the statuesque model has previously spoken about how the couple manage to keep the romance alive despite their hectic working and travel schedules.
'[Being apart is] what keeps it going,' she explained. 'No, seriously, it's important to travel and be apart and miss each other.
'In the beginning it was long-distance and when you long for something so much, I think it's a good thing.'
She added in an interview with E Online last year that she doesn't feel the need to be around her boyfriend all the time - even when it comes to Valentine's Day.
'You don't have to have your loved one with you. You can go out with the girls, have a good time,' she said.
Although the pair like to keep their relationship under wraps, it has been widely reported that Hermann has been teaching Candice Portuguese, his native tongue, during their ten years together.
And while the couple have yet to confirm their engagement, that hasn't stopped Candice's fans from offering up their congratulations to her on social media.
